Skies are mostly cloudy to cloudy early on this Friday morning and there are some showers in parts of the area. Temperatures are mild with most readings in the low to mid 50s. At 5 a.m. the temperature here in Clifton was 53 degrees.

A deep low pressure now over the Great Lakes will send a cold front through the area around noon, some showers will precede the front with a slight chance of a rumble of thunder. Following the front it will become mostly sunny and drier but unseasonably warm with temperatures rising well up into the 70s with an 80 degree reading within reach. The winds will likely gust to near 45 mph and a wind advisory is in effect.

Saturday will be the most pleasant day of the weekend with mostly sunny skies, with much less wind and temperatures in the 60s.

Another frontal system on Sunday will likely give our area another soaking rain on Sunday, temperatures will continue to be mild. Rainfall amount of around one inch is expected.

Cooler and dry weather Monday and Tuesday.

Another frontal system may affect our area Wednesday night into Thursday followed by much cooler weather on Friday.

TODAY – MAR 26 – Wind advisory is in effect from 2 p.m. until midnight for possible wind gusts to 45 mph. Cloudy this morning with a chance of showers then becoming partly sunny, windy and warm, high in the upper 70s.

TONIGHT – Becoming mostly clear, still windy, low in the mid 40s.

SATURDAY – MAR 27 – Sunny with less wind, high in the upper 60s.

SUNDAY – MAR 28 – Cloudy with rain, high in the low 60s.

MONDAY – MAR 29 – Sunny and cooler, high in the mid 50s.

TUESDAY – MAR 30 – Sunny, high in the upper 50s.

WEDNESDAY – MAR 31 – Partly sunny, high in the low 60s, chance of showers at night.

THURSDAY – APR 1 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, high in the low 50s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 a.m. Saturday morning for southwest to west winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 4-7 feet.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected the rest of Saturday; small craft advisories likely Sunday and Monday with some gale gusts possible Sunday night into Monday morning; no advisories expected on Tuesday.
