Sunny and mild today with diminishing winds! Soaking rain and continued mild on Sunday! Dry and slightly cooler Monday and Tuesday! Good chance of more rain Wednesday and Thursday followed by much cooler air for Friday!

Skies are clear early on this Saturday morning and it continues to be unseasonably mild with temperatures at 5 a.m. ranging from 49 degrees in Clifton down to 40 at Walpack, winds are from the northwest around 5-10 mph.

After having the warmest March temperature in 23 years yesterday, today will be cooler but still mild with highs well up into the 60s as weak high pressure dominates our weather. Winds will be much lighter than yesterday and there will be plenty of sunshine.

Another frontal system will give us rain mainly from mid morning on Sunday into Sunday night with rainfall amounts of around an inch. There also will be a chance of thunderstorms.

Dry weather Monday and Tuesday with temperatures below normal on Monday and near normal on Tuesday.

Another in the series of low pressure systems will affect our area Wednesday to Thursday and another soaking rain is likely. There is a possibility of the rain mixing with or changing to snow before ending across higher elevations well inland.

Dry and much cooler on Friday with morning lows in the 20s and afternoon highs only in the low 40s which would be around 40 degrees cooler than this past Friday.

TUESDAY – MAR 30 – Sunny, high in the upper 50s.

WEDNESDAY – MAR 31 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain, high in the low 60s.

THURSDAY – APR 1 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, high near 50.

FRIDAY – APR 2 – Sunny and chilly, highs only in the low 40s.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – Southerly winds to 10 knots, seas 3 feet.

OUTLOOK – A small craft advisory has been posted effective between 6 a.m. Sunday until 2 p.m. on Monday with possible gales Sunday night into Monday morning; no advisories expected Monday afternoon through Wednesday.
