Most showers ending this morning then some partial clearing this afternoon and it will be breezy and chilly! Dry and continued chilly on Friday with slowly diminishing winds. Mainly dry over the weekend with moderating temperatures!

Skies are cloudy early on this Thursday morning and there are some light showers in the area. Temperatures range at 5 a.m. from 43 degrees in Clifton down to 36 at High Point. Winds are gusty out of the northwest.

A cold front crossed our area early this morning followed by a strong northwest flow of cooler air. Most showers should end by 10 a.m. followed by some partial clearing this afternoon. Some of the showers this morning may fall as snow across the higher elevations of northwest New Jersey with a dusting of accumulation possible. Temperatures will remain nearly steady in the 40s, and winds gusting to 30 mph will make it feel colder.

Friday will be a partly sunny and cold day with slowly diminishing winds, most lows by tomorrow morning will be in the 20s while daytime highs will only be in the low 40s.

The weekend is expected to be mainly dry with moderating temperatures. After a chilly morning on Saturday temperatures will rise into the 50s by afternoon along with plenty of sunshine. Highs on Easter Sunday will rise to near 60 and skies should be partly sunny.

Mainly dry weather through the Monday through Wednesday with above normal temperatures.

SATURDAY – APR 3 – Sunny and not as cool, high in the mid 50s.

EASTER SUNDAY – APR 4 – Mostly cloudy in the morning then becoming partly sunny, high near 60.

MONDAY – APR 5 – Sunny, high in the low 60s.

TUESDAY – APR 6 – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 60s.

WEDNESDAY – APR 7 – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 60s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 a.m. Friday morning for northwest winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 3-6 feet.

OUTLOOK – Advisories likely to continue on Friday; no advisories expected Saturday through Monday.
