Cloudy and cool with showers likely today! Sunshine returning on Tuesday and not as cool! Still mild on Wednesday with a chance of showers! Rain and cooler again Thursday into Friday!


Good morning everyone!

Skies are cloudy over our area early on this Monday morning and there is some drizzle or light rain falling. Temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 44 in Clifton down to 40 at High Point. Winds are from the north around 10-15 mph.

The low pressure system that gave us the soaking rain yesterday will be slowly moving off the coast today. Periods of mainly light rain today and tonight along with cloudy skies. Temperatures with the clouds and an onshore flow will only reach the low 50s.

Sunshine returns on Tuesday as a weak high moves into the area, temperatures will not be as cool as today.

Mild on Wednesday but another disturbance will give us a chance of showers.

Another slow moving system will give us a good chance of rain Thursday into Friday along with cool temperatues.

At this time the weekend looks mainly dry but there still will be a chance of showers once again on Sunday. Temperatures will be near normal.

TONIGHT – Cloudy with showers likely, low in the low 40s.

TUESDAY – APR 13 – Becoming mostly sunny and not as cool, high in the low 60s.

WEDNESDAY – APR 14 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers, high in the mid 60s.

THURSDAY – APR 15 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain, cooler, high in the mid 50s.

FRIDAY – APR 16 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, high in the low 50s.

SATURDAY – APR 17 – Mostly sunny, high in the low 60s.

SUNDAY – APR 18 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers, high in the mid 60s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 a.m. Tuesday morning for northeast winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 4-7 feet.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected the rest of Tuesday through Wednesday; possible small craft advisories Thursday and Friday.
