Sunshine returns today along with milder temperatures! Mild on Wednesday with a low chance of an afternoon and evening shower! More soaking rain and cool Thursday into Friday!

Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 42 in Clifton down to 37 at High Point. Winds are light from the north.

After a couple day of rain and cool weather, today will be a nice spring day with mostly sunny skies and temperatures rising into the low 60s as weak high pressure moves through the area.

Wednesday will be mild and mainly dry but there is a chance of a shower in the afternoon and evening.

Another significant rainfall is likely Thursday into Friday as a frontal system moves into our area. High temperatures both days will only reach to near 50 degrees and there is a chance some of the rain will be mixed with snow at higher elevations well to our north and west. Rainfall amounts of 1-2 inches are likely.

At this point the weekend looks to be mainly dry with near seasonable temperatures.

WEDNESDAY – APR 14 – Increasing clouds with a chance of an afternoon or evening shower, high in the upper 60s.

FRIDAY – APR 16 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain, high near 50.

SATURDAY – APR 17 – Mostly sunny, high near 60.

SUNDAY – APR 18 – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 60s.

MONDAY – APR 19 – Partly sunny, high in the mid 60s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 11 a.m. this morning for northeast winds gusting to 15 knots, seas 3-5 feet.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected on Wednesday; possible small craft advisories Thursday and Friday; no advisories expected for Saturday.
