Mostly cloudy, breezy and cool today with a chance of some light showers! Mainly dry with seasonable temperatures over the weekend! Mainly dry and a little milder early next week!

Good morning everyone!

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Friday morning and temperatures are cooler than this time yesterday with readings at 5 a.m. ranging from 39 in Clifton down to 33 at Walpack, winds are mainly calm or light northwesterly.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR APRIL 16TH:

AVERAGE HIGH: 61 AVERAGE LOW: 42

RECORD HIGH: 89 – 2012 RECORD LOW: 28 – 2014

YESTERDAY’S HIGH 57 LOW: 43 PRECIPITATION: .31″

The low pressure that gave our area the rain yesterday is moving slowly off the Long Island coast. Skies will start off partly cloudy but we should see more clouds this afternoon along with a chance of light showers. Temperatures will be cool with highs only in the mid 50s and with some wind gusts to 25 mph will make it feel cooler. Also across the higher elevations well to our north and west some of these showers may be mixed with snow.

Dry weather with near seasonable temperatures are expected for the weekend as weak high pressure moves into the area.

Mainly dry early next week and with milder temperatures. A weak disturbance may touch off a shower Monday afternoon. Tuesday may be the best day of the upcoming week with highs near 70 with plenty of sunshine.

A cold front may touch off some showers on Wednesday followed by clearing and cooler weather on Thursday.
