Rain is falling over the area early on this Sunday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 49 in Clifton down to 43 at High Point, winds are mainly calm.

Low pressure just to our south is giving our area rain this morning that should end around 10-11 a.m. There still will be a chance of a shower this afternoon but some sunshine is possible by late this afternoon. High temperatures will be in the 60s.

Monday will be a mostly sunny but breezy and seasonably cool day.

Dry weather and becoming warmer Tuesday and Wednesday, highs on Tuesday will be in the 70s and then rise into the 80s on Wednesday.

A frontal system moving into our area may give us some showers Thursday through Saturday, temperatures will be cooler but still averaging above normal for this time of year.

TODAY – APR 25 – Rain this morning with a chance of shower in the afternoon, partial clearing by late this afternoon, high in the mid 60s.

TONIGHT – Becoming mostly clear, low in the low 40s.

MONDAY – APR 26 – Sunny and breezy, high in the mid 60s.

TUESDAY – APR 27 – Mostly sunny, high in the low 70s.

WEDNESDAY – APR 28 – Partly sunny and unseasonably warm, high in the mid 80s.

THURSDAY – APR 29 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers in the afternoon and at night, high in the mid 70s.

FRIDAY – APR 30 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers, high in the upper 60s.

SATURDAY – MAY 1 – Partly sunny with a chance of a shower mainly in the morning, high near 70.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. Monday evening for southeast winds this morning becoming northwest with gusts to 30 knots, seas 4-7 feet.

OUTLOOK: No advisories expected Monday night through Thursday.
