Skies are partly cloudy early on this Sunday morning and it is unseasonably mild with readings at 5 a.m. ranging from 70 degrees in Clifton down to 59 at Walpack, winds are light from the west-northwest.

High pressure will continue to give our area a west-northwest flow of hot and increasingly humid air, temperatures should reach the low 90s along with mostly sunny skies. A strong cold front will cross the area this evening with only a slight chance of a shower or gusty thunderstorm.

Much cooler on Monday as a Canadian high moves into our area, high temperature will struggle to reach the 70 degree mark.

Milder on Tuesday and continued dry as a warm front moves through the area.

Hot again on Wednesday with dry conditions continuing with highs again in the low 90s.

High pressure will give us a warm day on Thursday.

Unsettled weather with cooler temperatures and a chance of showers Friday and Saturday.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm, low near 60.

MONDAY – MAY 24 – Partly sunny and much cooler, high only near 70.

TUESDAY – MAY 25 – Partly sunny, high in the upper 70s.

WEDNESDAY – MAY 26 – Mostly sunny and hot, high in the low to mid 90s.

THURSDAY – MAY 27 – Sunny, high in the mid 80s.

FRIDAY – MAY 28 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, high in the low 70s.

SATURDAY – MAY 29 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers, high near 70.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 2 p.m. winds northwest becoming southerly this afternoon, seas 5-6 feet.

OUTLOOK – Advisories expected on Monday; no advisories expected Tuesday through Thursday.
