Showers this morning then mostly cloudy and becoming more humid with a chance of afternoon or evening thunderstorms! Hot and dry Monday and Tuesday but less humid! Chance of showers and cooler Wednesday and Thursday!

Skies are mainly cloudy early on this Sunday morning and there are some showers falling in parts of the area. Temperatures are mainly in the low to mid 60s, winds are calm or light southerly and the humidity is on the high side.

A warm front will move to our north this morning and showers with the front should end shortly after daybreak but it will be mostly cloudy and more humid today. A cold front approaching from the west will give us a chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon into this evening, some storms may be accompanied by strong gusty winds and heavy rain.

Skies should become mostly sunny on Monday and it will be hot but becoming less humid by the afternoon.

Another hot day on Tuesday but the humidity will be moderate with dew points in the 60s.

A couple of cold fronts will again give us a chance of showers Wednesday into Thursday and with more clouds temperatures will be somewhat lower.

Fair weather with seasonable temperatures Friday into the start of the weekend.

TODAY – JULY 25 – Showers ending shortly after daybreak then remaining mostly cloudy with a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms, more humid, high in the upper 80s.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy with a chance of evening showers and thunderstorms, low in the upper 60s.

MONDAY – JULY 26 – Partly sunny and hot but becoming less humid by the afternoon, high in the low 90s.

TUESDAY – JULY 27 – Sunny and hot, high in the low 90s.

WEDNESDAY – JULY 28 – Partly sunny with a chance of mainly morning showers and thunderstorms, high in the mid 80s.

THURSDAY – JULY 29 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high in the mid 80s.

FRIDAY – JULY 30 – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 80s.

SATURDAY – JULY 31 – Sunny, high in the mid 80s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 a.m. Monday morning for southwest winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 4-6 feet. Point Pleasant Beach’s ocean temperature is 74 degrees.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected the rest of Monday through Thursday.
