Partly sunny today and a little warmer! Quite warm Friday through the weekend with only low chances of showers Saturday and Sunday! Hot and becoming more humid next week!

Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Thursday morning and temperatures are a little milder than this time yesterday with readings at 5 a.m. ranging from 66 in Clifton to 56 at Pequest. Winds are light from the north.

The front that gave us the clouds and cool conditions yesterday will be moving further offshore and we should see some partial sunshine today with temperatures not as cool with most highs in the lower 80s.

Quite warm Friday through the weekend with only a low chance of showers late Saturday into Sunday. Highs will be near 90 on Friday and in the upper 80s over the weekend as we will have more clouds. Humidity will be moderate with dew points in the 60s.

The Bermuda high pressure ridge will dominate our weather much of next week with hot temperatures and an increase in humidity. Most of the time it will be dry but there is a chance of afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms on Wednesday.

FRIDAY – AUG 6 – Sunny, high near 90.

SATURDAY – AUG 7 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m., high in the upper 80s.

SUNDAY – AUG 8 – Mostly sunny with a chance of afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms, high in the upper 80s.

MONDAY – AUG 9 – Mostly sunny, high near 90.

TUESDAY – AUG 10 -Mostly sunny, high near 90.

WEDNESDAY – AUG 11 – Mostly sunny with a chance of afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms, hot and humid, high in the low 90s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 a.m. Friday morning for northwest winds gusting to 20 knots, seas 3-6 feet. Point Pleasant Beach’s ocean temperature is 73 degrees.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Friday through Monday.
