The Bermuda high pressure will give our area a southwest flow of very hot and humid air today through Friday with temperatures well up into the 90s all three days along with dew points in the 70s. This will cause heat indexes to rise to near 110, an excessive heat warning is in effect. With the heat and humidity we will have a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms each day.

A cold front will cross the area on Saturday with another chance of showers and thunderstorms. The front will be followed by less humid air by Saturday night.

More seasonable temperatures along with lower humidity Sunday through Tuesday with mostly sunny skies each day.

A small coastal low pressure area will slowly move up the coast today causing mainly light rain that will end by mid-morning. Skies will remain mostly cloudy this afternoon with still a chance of some scattered showers. High temperatures will only be around 80.

The low will move away on Monday but there will still be a chance of afternoon or evening showers, high temperatures will be warmer with highs in the mid to upper 80s.

A heatwave is expected Tuesday through Friday as the Bermuda high pressure gives us a southwesterly flow of hot and humid air. With the hot and humid air there will be a chance of afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms each day.

Today will be quite warm again but with increasing clouds highs should be a couple of degrees lower than yesterday.

A small low pressure system moving off the New Jersey coast will give our area a chance of showers on Sunday but most of the precipitation will be along southern New Jersey coastal areas. Temperatures with clouds and an onshore wind will be lower with most highs in the low 80s.

The Bermuda high pressure ridge will likely give us quite warm to hot weather much of next week. Monday and Tuesday should be dry with moderate humidity. Last year on this date Hurricane Isaias caused damaging winds and heavy rain.

Today will be a mainly cloudy day with high temperatures only in the upper 70s. There is only a low chance of an evening shower as a trough of low pressure will be just offshore. This system may cause heavy rain over parts of Eastern Long Island.

Thursday will be partly sunny as a weak high pressure builds into the area, with more sunshine high temperatures will be a couple of degrees warmer than today.

After having a nice break of comfortable weather the last few days the heat will return on Friday and may last through much of next week as the Bermuda high pressure builds into the area. There is only a low chance of showers on Sunday otherwise dry conditions will prevail. The humidity will not be too high Friday and Saturday but will increase on Sunday and last into next week.
