Mostly cloudy and humid today with only a slight (20%) chance of a shower! Mostly sunny, warm and humid on Saturday! Cooler with less humidity and plenty of sunshine for Sunday!

Skies are mainly cloudy across the area and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 69 in Clifton down to 63 at High Point. Winds are light from the northeast and the humidity is high with some patchy fog in some areas.

Today’s weather will be similar to yesterday’s as a weak front is just offshore and we will continue to have mostly cloudy to cloudy skies with only a slight chance of a shower. Highs will be in the 70s and once again it will be humid with dew points in the upper 60s.

More sunshine on Saturday will produce warmer conditions and it will stay humid.

A weak cold front will cross the area Saturday night and Sunday we will continue to have mostly sunny skies but it will be somewhat cooler and much less humid.

Seasonably warm temperatures through Wednesday with the next chance of showers being on Wednesday as a stronger cold front crosses the area.

Cooler weather can be expected at the end of next week just in time for the beginning of autumn.

THURSDAY – SEP 23 – Partly sunny and cooler with a chance of showers, high in the low 70s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. on Saturday for northeast winds gusting to 25 knots, seas 4-6 feet.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Sunday through Tuesday.
