Skies remain mostly cloudy to cloudy early on this Saturday morning and there is some patchy fog in some areas. Temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 68 in Clifton down to 64 at High Point. Winds are mainly calm or light northerly.

Early morning low clouds will dissipate as the day wears on and we should see at least some partial sunshine by midday. Temperatures will be warm with highs in the 80s and it will be rather humid with dew points in the upper 60s. A weak cold front passing through tonight may be preceded by an isolated shower but most places will remain dry.

Sunday will be a little cooler and much less humid as high pressure builds into our area from the northwest.

Dry weather Monday and Tuesday as high pressure remains in control, temperatures will be near normal with low humidity continuing.

A stronger cold front will likely cause showers Wednesday into Thursday follow by clearing and cool weather for Friday.

TONIGHT – Mostly clear, low in the low 60s.

SUNDAY – SEP 19 – Sunny and much less humid, high near 80.

MONDAY – SEP 20 – Sunny, high in the upper 70s.

TUESDAY – SEP 21 – Partly sunny, high in the mid 70s.

WEDNESDAY – SEP 22 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, high in the upper 70s.

THURSDAY – SEP 23 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers, high in the low 70s.

FRIDAY – SEP 24 – Sunny, high near 70.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 8 p.m. this evening for northerly winds gusting to 20 knots, seas 5-8 feet. Point Pleasant Beach’s ocean temperature is 73 degrees. There is a high risk of dangerous rip currents due to Tropical Storm Odette which will move well out into the Atlantic.

OUTLOOK: No advisories expected Sunday through Tuesday; advisories possible on Wednesday.
