Sunny, breezy and a little cooler today! Warmer and still breezy on Monday! Chance of showers on Tuesday followed by dry and cool fall weather the rest of the week!

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Sunday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 58 in Clifton down to 48 at Pequest. Winds are mainly calm or light westerly.

A weak cold front crossed the area overnight and high pressure will be building into our area. Skies will be sunny and a little cooler than yesterday with a brisk northwest wind.

Tomorrow will be a little milder and still a little breezy as high pressure moves off the coast and a southwest flow develops.

The next chance of showers will be on Tuesday as another cold front moves through the area.

Dry and cool fall weather Wednesday through at least the beginning of the weekend as high pressure will be in control. Daytime highs will average near 70 and overnight lows in the low 50s.

TONIGHT – Mostly clear, low in the mid 50s.

MONDAY – SEP 27 – Mostly sunny, high near 80.

TUESDAY – SEP 28 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and possibly a thunderstorm, high in the upper 70s.

WEDNESDAY – SEP 29 – Sunny, high near 70.

THURSDAY – SEP 30 – Sunny, high in the upper 60s.

FRIDAY – OCT 1 – Mostly sunny, high near 70.

SATURDAY – OCT 2 – Mostly sunny, high near 70.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 8 p.m. this evening for northwest winds gusting to 25 knots, seas 3-5 feet. Point Pleasant Beach’s ocean temperature is 72 degrees.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected during the day on Monday; advisories likely Monday night; no advisories expected Tuesday through Thursday.
