Skies are partly cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and there are some showers falling over the Poconos. Temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 64 in Clifton down to 54 at Pequest. Winds are light southwesterly.

A cold front will be crossing our area later in the day and will likely be preceded and accompanied by showers and possibly some strong thunderstorms mainly this afternoon and this evening, temperatures will be mild with most highs in the upper 70s.

High pressure will then be in control of weather tomorrow through the weekend with mainly dry and seasonably cool weather. Most highs will be around 70 and overnight lows in the upper 40s to the low 50s.

TONIGHT – Partly cloudy with a chance of showers and possibly at thunderstorm mainly before 8 p.m., low in the low 50s.

THURSDAY – SEP 30 – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 60s.
