Mostly sunny and a little cooler today! Cooler over the weekend but mainly dry! Unsettled weather much of next week!

Good morning everyone!

Skies across our area are partly to mostly cloudy and once again it is unseasonable mild with readings at 5 a.m. ranging from 61 in Clifton down to 53 at Basking Ridge, these temperatures are near 20 degrees above normal. Winds are mainly calm or light westerly.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR OCTOBER 22ND:

RECORD HIGH: 84 – 1979 RECORD LOW: 30 – 1997

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 79 (Tied Record) LOW: 56 PRECIPITATION: NONE

A weak cold front will pass to our east this morning and high pressure will build from the west which will give us mostly sunny skies with slightly cooler temperatures than the last few days but still above normal with highs near 70.

The weekend will be mainly dry and cool as high pressure dominates our weather. An approaching low pressure may touch of some showers Sunday night.

Much of next week the weather will be unsettled with a chance of showers each day. Temperatures on Monday are quite uncertain as a warm front will be near our area. If the front stays to our south Monday’s highs will only be in the upper 50s, if the front moves to our north then we could be in the warm sector with highs again well up into the 70s. Temperatures the rest of the week will be seasonably cool.
