Skies across the area are mostly cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 46 in Clifton down to 37 at Sandyston, winds are mainly calm.

A weak cold front crossing our area today will give us mostly cloudy skies with cool temperatures.
Tonight will start off mostly cloudy then we will have gradual clearing late tonight with patchy frost and a frost advisory is in effect. A freeze warning is in effect across northwest New Jersey.
Mainly dry and cool weather tomorrow through the weekend, highs will be mostly in the 50s with overnight lows in the 30s.
Present indications that next week will be milder with above normal tempertures likely.

CLIFTON’S CLIMATE SUMMARY FOR OCTOBER 2021.
Temperatures were well above normal and it was the 2nd warmest October since my records began in 1973. The highest temperature was 85 recorded on the 15th and the lowest was 42 on the 19th (This was the first October that the temperatures did not fall into the 30s) Rainfall totaled 8.46″ which made the month the 3rd wettest with most of the rain falling between the 25th through the 27th when 6.04″ fell.
