Light rain ending this morning then becoming windy and colder this afternoon! Chilly weather for the weekend with only a slight chance of flurries on Sunday! Dry and cool Monday through Thursday!

Skies are cloudy early on this Friday morning and there is some light rain falling in parts of the area. Temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 42 in Clifton down to 39 at Walpack and Pequest. Winds are calm or light southwesterly.

A cold front will cross the area around dawn which will cause occasional showers till around 10 a.m. As colder air moves in some of the showers will change to snow showers across northwestern New Jersey. The front will be followed by clearing but it will become windy and colder with temperatures falling through the 40s and with winds gusting above 30 mph will make it feel colder.

Chilly weather for the weekend! Saturday will be sunny and breezy. A weak disturbance will cause mostly cloudy skies on Sunday, but now there will only be a slight chance of flurries or sprinkles.

Dry and cool weather much of next week with slightly milder temperatures towards the end of next week.

THURSDAY – DEC 2 – Partly sunny, high near 50.

MARINE FORECAST: A gale warning is in effect until 6 a.m. Saturday morning for westerly winds gusting to 40 knots, seas 3-6 feet.
