Partly sunny, breezy and cooler today! Dry and mild weather still expected much of this coming week. Next chance of showers will be on Saturday!

Good morning everyone!

Skies are mostly cloudy to cloudy early on this Sunday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 43 in Clifton down to 36 at High Point. Winds are brisk out of the west.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR DECEMBER 12TH:

AVERAGE HIGH: 45 AVERAGE LOW: 27

RECORD HIGH: 65 – 2015 RECORD LOW: -1 – 1988

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 65 (Record high) LOW: 42 PRECIPITATION: .17″

Note: 61 years ago today our area received nearly two feet of snow, it is the earliest snowstorm I remember, I especially liked the three days off from school.

After record warmth yesterday we will be cooler today but at least we will see some sunshine as high pressure builds toward our area from the southeast states. Winds will be brisk especially this morning. High temperatures will be near 50 degrees which is still 5 degrees warmer than normal.

An unusual quiet weather pattern for mid December this week with dry conditions and mild temperatures. Most highs will be in the 50s but may reach the 60s on Thursday.

The next chance of showers will be on Saturday as a cold front approaches our area.
