Sunny, breezy and very cold today! Dry and milder tomorrow and Thursday! Cooler and windy on Friday! Quite cold over the weekend with a low chance of snow on Sunday!

Skies are mostly clear early on this Tuesday morning and it is quite cold with temperatures at 5 a.m. ranging from 16 in Clifton down to 7 at High Point. Winds are gusty out of the northwest.

An Arctic cold front came through early this morning with some snow showers in the area. Today will be a sunny and very cold day with highs only around 20 degrees.

Wednesday morning will start off cold, but milder air will be moving into the area and high temperatures will be nearly 20 degrees warmer than today.

Thursday will be a partly sunny and seasonably mild day.

A storm will be moving well offshore on Friday giving us windy conditions, but we will remain dry.

Very cold on the weekend and another low pressure offshore will give us a chance of snow on Sunday, although most models have the storm too far to our east to give us any snow.

TODAY – JAN 11 – Sunny, breezy and very cold, high in the low 20s.

TONIGHT – Mostly clear, low in the mid teens.

WEDNESDAY – JAN 12 – Mostly sunny and milder, high near 40.

THURSDAY – JAN 13 – Partly sunny, high in the low 40s.

FRIDAY – JAN 14 – Mostly sunny and breezy, high in the mid 30s.

SATURDAY – JAN 15 – Partly sunny and very cold, high in the low 20s.

SUNDAY – JAN 16 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of snow, high near 30.

M.L.KING DAY – JAN 17 – Partly sunny, high in the mid 30s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until noon today for northwest winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 3-5 feet.

OUTLOOK – Advisories possible on Wednesday; no advisories expected on Thursday; advisories again possible on Friday and Saturday.
