Sunny and not quite as frigid as yesterday with lighter winds! Partly sunny and a bit milder on Sunday! Mostly sunny and quite cold on Monday! Milder on Tuesday with a chance of light snow and rain in the afternoon and evening!

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Saturday morning and it is quite cold with temperatures at 5 a.m. ranging from 10 in Clifton down to -5 at Sandyston. Winds are from the north-northeast around 5-10 mph.

Arctic high pressure over New England will be moving offshore and we will have sunny skies today, high temperatures will be around 5 degrees higher than yesterday and with lighter winds it will not feel as frigid as yesterday.

Sunday will be a partly sunny day with slightly milder temperatures but high temperatures will still be below normal. A cold front will move through the area at night.

Monday will be sunny but quite cold once again with highs struggling to reach 30 degrees.

Milder on Tuesday but a cold front will give us a chance of light rain and snow in the afternoon and evening.

Much colder again Wednesday through Friday but we should remain dry.

Another possible snowstorm for next Saturday with the GFS computer model has a healthy snowstorm for our area while the European model has the storm well out to sea.

TODAY – JAN 22 – Sunny, high in the upper 20s.

TONIGHT – Partly cloudy, low in the upper teens.

SUNDAY – JAN 23 – Partly sunny, high in the low 30s.

MONDAY – JAN 24 – Mostly sunny, high near 30.

TUESDAY – JAN 25 – Cloudy with a chance of rain in the afternoon then a chance of snow at night, high near 40.

WEDNESDAY – JAN 26 – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 20s.

THURSDAY – JAN 27 – Sunny, high in the upper 30s.

FRIDAY – JAN 28 – Partly sunny, high in the low 30s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until noon today for northeast winds gusting to 25 knots, seas 4-5 feet.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected on Sunday through the day on Monday; possible advisories Monday night; no advisories expected during the day on Tuesday; possible advisories again Tuesday night through Wednesday.
