Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 26 in Clifton down to 19 at High Point, winds are mainly calm.

Today will be a mostly cloudy and milder day as high pressure moves offshore and a weak cold front approaches our area from the northwest. Highs will be around 10 degrees higher than yesterday but southerly winds will become a little gusty this afternoon.

The weak cold front will move through tonight with a slight chance of some sprinkles followed by mostly sunny and mild conditions on Wednesday.

A somewhat stronger cold front will cross the area Wednesday night with another slight chance of sprinkles or flurries followed by a strong northwest flow of colder air on Thursday. Friday will be mostly sunny and cold with diminishing winds.

Milder air will be with us over the weekend with showers likely Saturday night into Sunday. Showers will still be likely on Monday. High temperatures expected to be in the 40s on Saturday, 50s on Sunday and well up into the 60s on Monday.

SATURDAY – MAR 5 – Mostly cloudy, high in the mid 40s, chance of showers at night.

SUNDAY – MAR 6 – Cloudy with showers likely, high in the upper 50s.

MONDAY – MAR 7 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, quite mild, high in the mid 60s.
