Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Friday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 48 in Clifton down to 42 at High Point and Vernon. Winds are from the west around 5-10 mph.

After having the heaviest deluge since Hurricane Ida yesterday and last night we will have a much better day today with sunshine returning with mild temperatures and highs in the low 60s.

Our area will have a chance of showers tonight into Saturday as an upper air low pressure moves through the area, highs on Saturday will generally be in the 50s.

Sunday looks to be a partly sunny day as high pressure builds into our area, however it will be cool.

Mainly dry with a warming trend next week, temperatures on Monday will be in the 60s and rise to the 70s Tuesday through Thursday. A cold front approaching the area may touch off some showers Wednesday night into Thursday.

SATURDAY – APR 9 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers with a possible thundershower in the afternoon, high in the upper 50s.

MONDAY – APR 11 – Sunny, high in the low 60s.

TUESDAY – APR 12 – Partly sunny, high in the low 70s.

WEDNESDAY – APR 13 – Partly sunny in the morning with increasing clouds in the afternoon, high near 70. Chance of showers at night.

THURSDAY – APR 14 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, high in the low 70s.
