Mostly cloudy and cooler today with some showers! Mostly sunny breezy and cool on Sunday! Milder next week with a low chance of showers early Tuesday morning and again Wednesday night through Friday!

Skies are cloudy early on this Saturday morning and there is some light rain falling in parts of the area. Temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 45 in Clifton down to 38 at High Point. Winds are light from the west.

An upper level low pressure area over us will give our area some light rain early this morning then we should see some partial sunshine but showers are likely again this afternoon with a chance some of these showers may be mixed with some small hail or graupel.

Sunday should be dry but it will be a breezy and cool day with most highs only in the low 50s.

Mainly dry and milder Monday and Tuesday but there is a low chance of a shower early Tuesday morning.

Mild weather should continue the rest of the week but a weak back door cold front may drop temperatures somewhat on Wednesday. A stronger cold front crossing our area on Friday preceded by some showers Wednesday night through Friday.

THE FORECAST:

TODAY – APR 9 – Mostly cloudy with some light rain early this morning then partial sunshine with a chance of showers this afternoon with an isolated thunderstorm, some storms may be accompanied by small hail or graupel, high in the upper 50s.

TONIGHT – Chance of showers this evening and again with an isolated thunderstorm that may produce some small hail or graupel, low in the upper 30s.

SUNDAY – APR 10 – Mostly sunny, breezy and cool, high in the low 50s.

MONDAY – APR 11 – Mostly sunny, high near 60.

TUESDAY – APR 12 – Chance of a morning shower then becoming partly sunny and milder, high in the low 70s.

WEDNESDAY – APR 13 – Partly sunny in the morning then becoming mostly cloudy, high in the low 60s, chance of showers at night.

THURSDAY – APR 14 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, high in the upper 60s.

FRIDAY – APR 15 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, high in the upper 60s.

OUTLOOK: A small craft advisory has been posted effective between 1 a.m. Sunday morning until 6 p.m. Sunday evening; no advisories expected Monday through Thursday.
