Skies across the area are mostly cloudy and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 54 in Clifton down to 51 at High Point. Winds are a little gusty out of the south.

Today will be a mild but cloudy and breezy day as a southerly flow will dominate our weather ahead of a cold front that will cross the area tonight with showers mainly after 5 p.m.

Easter Sunday will be much cooler and breezy with highs struggling to reach the low 50s, winds will be gusty out of the northwest.

Cool early next week and a low pressure system will give us some significant rain Monday night into Tuesday morning. Rainfall amounts will likely be above one inch.

Dry weather with a slow moderation in temperatures Wednesday through Friday.

TONIGHT – Showers mainly before midnight, breezy and cooler, low in the low 40s.

SUNDAY – APR 17 – Mostly sunny, breezy and cool, high in the low 50s.

MONDAY – APR 18 – Increasing cloudiness with rain developing mainly after 5 p.m. high in the low 50s.

TUESDAY – APR 19 – Rain ending by early afternoon then become mostly sunny, high in the mid 50s.

WEDNESDAY – APR 20 – Sunny, high near 60.

THURSDAY – APR 21 – Partly sunny, high in the low 60s.

FRIDAY – APR 22 – Sunny, high in the upper 60s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until noon today for southerly winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 3-5 feet.
