Skies have become clear early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 54 in Clifton down to 45 at Walpack and Sandyston. Winds are mainly light from the west.

Severe weather did not occur yesterday as expected in our area with the heaviest downpour being around 6 p.m. with mainly lighter showers the rest of the evening. No wind damage in our area but some tree damage in the Wantage area.

Today will be a very pleasant late spring day with sunshine this morning and increasing cloudiness this afternoon. High temperatures will be in the 70s with much less humidity than the last few days. Winds will be a little gusty out of the west.

Tomorrow will start off sunny but we should again have an increase in clouds in the afternoon, high temperatures will be a few degrees lower than today but with less wind. A weak disturbance will give us a chance of showers late Wednesday night into early Thursday morning.

Thursday will have clearing skies with near seasonable temperatures.

Mostly sunny and warmer on Friday.

Saturday looks to be the warmest day of the year so far with an increase in humidity, highs should reach the low 90s, most of the day will be dry but there will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms at night.

Sunday a cold front will cross the area at night likely accompanied by showers and thunderstorms, highs will be not as hot but still rise to the mid 80s.

Clearing and cooler on Monday with near seasonable temperatures and lower humidity as high pressure builds into the area.

FRIDAY – MAY 20 – Mostly sunny, high in the low 80s.

SATURDAY – MAY 21 – Mostly sunny, hot and more humid, high in the low 90s, chance of showers and thunderstorms after 8 p.m.

SUNDAY – MAY 22 – Partly sunny, warm and humid with showers and thunderstorms likely, high in the mid 80s.

MONDAY – MAY 23 – Mostly sunny, cooler and less humid, high in the mid 70s.
