Skies are partly cloudy early on this Monday morning and it is quite mild with readings at 5 a.m. ranging from 65 in Clifton down to 55 at Sandyston. Winds are mainly calm.

Today will start off partly sunny as high pressure moves off the coast, a cold front will cross the area tonight accompanied by showers and thunderstorms, some storms may be severe producing strong gusty winds, hail and even a slight chance of a tornado or two. It will remain humid with highs in the upper 70s, the best chance of storms will be between 5-7 p.m.

Tuesday will be a sunny day but a little breezy and much less humid, high will still be in the 70s.

Wednesday looks to be mostly sunny during the day with near seasonable temperatures but a warm front approaching may touch off some showers at night.

Thursday and Friday look to be dry, highs on Thursday will be in the low 70s but rise to near 80 on Friday.

Saturday looks to be a hot day with our first 90 degree day of the year possible. A cold front will cross the area late in the day or evening accompanied by some showers and thunderstorms.

Sunday will be pleasantly warm with plenty of sunshine and highs near 80.

FRIDAY – MAY 20 – Partly sunny, high near 80.

SATURDAY – MAY 21 – Partly sunny and very warm with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high in the upper 80s.

SUNDAY – MAY 22 – Partly sunny, high near 80.
