Sunny and pleasantly warm today! Dry weather through Friday with a warming trend! Showers and thunderstorms likely on Saturday! Still a chance of a shower on Sunday followed by sunny and seasonably warm conditions on the 4th!

Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 65 in Clifton down to 53 at Walpack. Winds are light from the north.

High pressure will be in control of our weather through Friday. Today will be a mostly sunny day with high temperatures near or slightly below normal and the humidity will be lower with dew points in the 50s. Wednesday through Friday will continue to have mostly sunny days with a warming trend, highs should be in the mid 80s on Wednesday, near 90 on Thursday and in the mid 90s on Friday. Humidity will remain moderate with dew points in the upper 50s to low 60s.

A slow moving cold front will be in our area at least through Saturday with showers and thunderstorms likely. There still may be a chance of a shower on Sunday as the front only slowly moves to our south.

At the present time Independence Day looks to be seasonably warm with plenty of sunshine.

FRIDAY – JUL 1 – Sunny and hot, high in the mid 90s.

SATURDAY – JUL 2 – Partly sunny with showers and thunderstorms likely, high near 90.

SUNDAY – JUL 3- Partly sunny with a chance of a shower, high in the mid 80s.

INDEPENDENCE DAY – JUL 4 – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 80s.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – Northerly winds to 10 knots, seas 2-3 feet. Point Pleasant Beach’s ocean temperature is 69 degrees.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Wednesday and Thursday; possible advisories Friday and Saturday.
