Fantastic weather for this Independence Day with warm temperatures and low humidity along with plenty of sunshine! Partly sunny and more humid on Tuesday with showers likely late in the day and at night! Mainly fair weather Wednesday and Thursday! Chance of showers again on Friday!

Skies are clear on this Independence Day morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 64 in Clifton down to a chilly 45 at Walpack. The humidity is low and the winds are calm or light northwesterly.

High pressure in our area today will give us very nice weather for this Independence Day with plenty of sunshine, warm temperatures and low humidity with dew points in the comfortable upper 40s to low 50s.

Increasing cloudiness on Tuesday as the high pressure moves offshore with a warm front moving through the area during the day and a weak cold front moves through the area at night. Some showers are likely mainly from late in the afternoon through Tuesday night. Temperatures will continue to be seasonably warm but the humidity will increase with dew points in the 60s.

High pressure then will build into our area Wednesday and control our weather on Thursday. Temperatures will be very warm on Wednesday but will be cooler on Thursday.

Another frontal system will give us a chance of showers on Friday.

At this point this upcoming weekend looks to be dry with temperatures at or slightly below normal.

FRIDAY – JUL 8 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, high in the low 80s.

SATURDAY – JUL 9 – Partly sunny, high in the low 80s.

SUNDAY – JUL 10 – Mostly sunny, high in the low 80s.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – Northerly winds to 10 knots, seas 2 feet. Point Pleasant Beach’s ocean temperature is 70 degrees.
