Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and it is a few degrees milder than this time yesterday with temperatures at 5 a.m. ranging from 68 in Clifton down to 57 at Walpack. Winds are mainly calm or light southwesterly.

Today will be a mostly cloudy and warm day with an increase in humidity as dew points rise to the 60s. A warm front will pass to our north followed by a cold front moving through late tonight. Showers and thunderstorms are likely mainly late this afternoon into tonight.

Weak high pressure will give us a mostly sunny day on Wednesday along with very warm temperatures and moderate humidity.

Another frontal system will give us a chance of showers late Thursday afternoon through the day on Friday, with the clouds and precipitation high temperatures will average a bit below normal.

Pleasant weather then is expected for the weekend with mostly sunny skies both days, temperatures will be near normal.

THURSDAY – JUL 7 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers mainly after 2 p.m., high near 80.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory has been posted effective between 2 p.m. this afternoon through 6 a.m. Wednesday morning for southwest winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 3-6 feet. Point Pleasant Beach’s ocean temperature is 70 degrees.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Wednesday through Saturday.
