Mostly sunny, hot and humid today! Very hot weather to continue through the weekend with only a chance of showers Thursday and again on Sunday!

Skies are mostly clear early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 69 in Clifton down to 65 at Walpack and High Point. The humidity is high and the winds are light from the west-southwest.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR JULY 19TH:

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 83 LOW: 71 PRECIPITATION: 2.88″

Yesterday we received 2.88″ of rain with the heaviest around 2:30 p.m. when the rain rate was 4.25″ that caused flooding in the area.

Now after the rainstorm we will now have some high heat that should last through the weekend with highs each day in the mid-upper 90s.

The only chance of rain the next few days will be from a couple of weak cold fronts, one on Thursday and then another late in the day on Sunday. Each front will be followed by less humid air but it will remain hot.

TONIGHT – Mostly clear, low in the mid 70s.

WEDNESDAY – JUL 20 – Sunny and very hot, high in the upper 90s.

FRIDAY – JUL 22 – Sunny and hot but less humid, high in the mid 90s.

SATURDAY – JUL 23 – Mostly sunny and very hot, high in the upper 90s.

SUNDAY – JUL 24 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, very hot and humid, high in the upper 90s.

MONDAY – JUL 25 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, humid, high in the low 90s.
