Another nice summer day today with warm temperatures and low humidity along with plenty of sunshine! Dry weather with warm temperatures to continue through at least the beginning of the weekend!

Skies across the area are mostly clear early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 64 in Clifton down to 52 at Basking Ridge. Winds are mainly calm and the humidity continues to be comfortable with dew points in the 50s.

Another nice summer day is on tap today with plenty of sunshine, light winds and comfortable humidity, high temperatures will be similar also to yesterday with readings in the mid 80s along with continued comfortable humidity. Low pressure is well offshore and high pressure continues to build from the north.

Dry weather will continue through the rest of the week. It will be a little cooler on Wednesday but will be warmer Thursday and Friday with a slight increase in humidity.

The weekend looks to be warm and again a little more humid, there is a chance of showers on Sunday but most if not all of the area will remain dry.

Some showers are possible next Monday.

TONIGHT – Partly cloudy, low in the low 60.

WEDNESDAY – AUG 17 – Mostly sunny, high near 80.

SATURDAY – AUG 20 – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 80s.

SUNDAY – AUG 21 – Mostly sunny with a chance of showers, high in the upper 80s.

MONDAY – AUG 22 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers, high in the mid 80s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory has been issued effective between 11 a.m. this morning through noon on Wednesday for northeast winds gusting to 25 knots, seas 4-6 feet. Belmar’s ocean temperature is 75 degrees.

OUTLOOK – Advisories expected to continue through Wednesday evening; no advisories expected Thursday through Saturday.
