Mostly cloudy warmer and continued humid today with a chance of showers and thunderstorms! Showers likely mainly Tuesday morning then clearing and becoming less humid by the afternoon! Dry conditions Wednesday through the weekend!

Skies are cloudy early on this Monday morning, showers that were in our area overnight have mostly moved offshore. Temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 66 in Clifton down to 60 at Vernon. Winds are mainly calm and the humidity is high.

A warm front moved to our north overnight and today will be a warmer day with continued humid conditions. There is a chance of showers and possibly a thunderstorm mainly tonight.

Showers and thunderstorms are possible mainly Tuesday morning followed by clearing in the afternoon. Temperatures will continue to be warm but the humidity should lower by the afternoon.

A prolonged stretch of dry weather is expected Wednesday through the weekend. Temperatures will be near normal Wednesday through Friday with warmer readings expected for the weekend.

TONIGHT – Showers and possibly a thunderstorm mainly after 8 p.m., muggy, low near 70.

TUESDAY – SEP 13 – Cloudy in the morning with showers and possibly some thunderstorms mainly in the morning then becoming mostly sunny and less humid in the afternoon, high in the low 80s.

WEDNESDAY – SEP 14 – Sunny, high in the low 80s.

THURSDAY – SEP 15 – Sunny, high in the upper 70s.

FRIDAY – SEP 16 – Sunny, high in the upper 70s.

SATURDAY – SEP 17 – Sunny, high near 80.

SUNDAY – SEP 18 – Mostly sunny, high in the low 80s.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – Variable winds less than 5 knots, seas 1 foot or less. Belmar’s ocean temperature is 73 degrees and there is a high risk of rip currents.
