Cloudy, breezy and cool today with periods of rain from the remnants of Ian! Still a good chance of rain on Sunday and continued cool and breezy! Mainly dry the rest of next week with milder temperatures by Wednesday!

Rain is falling over much of the area early on this Saturday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 53 in Clifton down to 46 at High Point. Winds are a little brisk out of the northeast.

The remnants of ex-Hurricane Ian will give us periods of rain today along with quite cool temperatures and a brisk northeast wind.

Sunday will be another cloudy day and again unseasonably cool with winds still brisk out of the northeast. There will be a good chance of showers throughout the day.

At this point next week will be mainly dry, it will start off cool and breezy Monday and Tuesday with milder temperatures Wednesday through the end of the week.

TODAY – OCT 1 – Cloudy, breezy and quite cool with periods of rain high in the upper 50s.

TONIGHT – Cloudy and breezy with a chance of rain, low in the low 50s.

SUNDAY – OCT 2 – Cloudy, breezy and cool with a chance of rain, high in the upper 50s.

MONDAY – OCT 3 – Mostly cloudy and continued breezy, high near 60.

TUESDAY – OCT 4 – Mostly cloudy in the morning then becoming partly sunny, high in the low 60s.

WEDNESDAY – OCT 5 – Sunny, high near 70.

THURSDAY – OCT 6 – Sunny, high in the low 70s.

FRIDAY – OCT 7 – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 60s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 a.m. Sunday morning for northeast winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 7-10 feet.

OUTLOOK – A gale warning has been posted effective between 6 a.m. Sunday morning until 6 p.m. Monday evening.
