Another cool, breezy and mostly sunny day today! Sunny and not as cool on Friday! Milder over the weekend with a good chance of rain late Sunday afternoon into Monday afternoon! Mostly cloudy and mild with still a slight chance of showers Tuesday and Wednesday!

Skies are clear early on this Thursday morning and temperatures are a couple of degrees higher than this time yesterday with early morning readings ranging from 40 in Clifton down to 30 at Walpack and Pequest. Winds are light from the southwest.

The deep low north of the Great Lakes will slowly move north and weaken today but we should still be cool and breezy with highs again mainly in the 50s despite plenty of sunshine.

Not as cool on Friday as a weak high pressure area moves into our area, skies will continue to be sunny and it will not be as breezy as today.

Saturday should be the best day of the weekend with mild temperatures, although we should see some increase in clouds by late in the day.

The weak coastal low pressure will give us a good chance of showers Sunday morning through Monday afternoon, temperatures will be a little lower with more clouds.

Mostly cloudy Tuesday and Wednesday and mild, with still a slight chance of showers as a cold front approaches form the west.

TODAY – OCT 20 – Sunny, breezy and cool, high in the upper 50s.

TONIGHT – Mostly clear, low near 40.

FRIDAY – OCT 21 – Sunny, high in the low 60s.

SATURDAY – OCT 22 – Mostly sunny in the morning then increasing cloudiness, high in the upper 60s.

SUNDAY – OCT 23 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers mainly after 8 a.m., high in the low 60s.

MONDAY – OCT 24 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers mainly before 2 p.m., high in the mid 60s.

TUESDAY – OCT 25 – Mostly cloudy, high near 70.

WEDNESDAY – OCT 26 – Mostly cloudy, high in the upper 60s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory has been posted effective between 11 a.m. this morning until 8 p.m. this evening for southwest winds gusting to 25 knots, seas 3-5 feet.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected for Friday and Saturday; advisories possible Sunday and Monday.
