Becoming mostly sunny and warm again today but becoming much less humid! Dry and much cooler tomorrow and on Wednesday! Milder Thursday through Saturday with rain possibly heavy Friday night into Saturday morning! Dry and much cooler on Sunday!

Skies are most cloudy early on this Monday morning and there are some light showers in parts of the area. Temperatures continue to be unseasonably mild with early readings ranging from 66 in Clifton down to 62 at High Point. The humidity remains high and winds are mainly light from the south.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR NOVEMBER 7TH:

AVERAGE HIGH: 57 AVERAGE LOW: 38

RECORD HIGH: 79 – 2020 RECORD LOW: 28 – 1987

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 72 LOW: 63 PRECIPITATION: .02 The 63 low temperature tied the record high minimum for the month of November.

NOTE  On this day in 2012 a week after Hurricane Sandy we received 4.2 inches of snow.

A cold front will cross the area this morning with any showers ending. Temperatures will still rise today into the 70s but the humidity will drop with dew points in the 60s now will fall to 30s by sunset on northwest winds.

Much cooler Tuesday and Wednesday with highs both days only in the 50s, quite a difference from the 70s that we have had the last few days but near normal for this time of year.

Milder on Thursday as high pressure moves off the coast.

A frontal system along with possible tropical moisture from Sub Tropical Storm Nicole which now is off the southeast coast. Rain may be heavy at times mainly Friday night into Saturday morning. Temperatures will continue to be on the mild side.

Clearing and much cooler and breezy on Sunday and the chilly air may be with us much of next week.

TONIGHT – Mostly clear and much cooler, low near 40.

TUESDAY – NOV 8 – Sunny and cooler, high in the upper 50s.

WEDNESDAY – NOV 9 – Sunny, high in the upper 50s.

THURSDAY – NOV 10 – Sunny and milder, high in the upper 60s.

VETERANS DAY – NOV 11 – Partly sunny in the morning then mostly cloudy in the afternoon with a chance of rain, high in the upper 60s. Rain at night.

SATURDAY – NOV 12 – Rain likely in the morning then partly sunny with still a chance of a shower in the afternoon, high in the upper 60s.

SUNDAY – NOV 13 – Sunny and cooler , high in the low 50s.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – Southwest winds to 10 knots, seas 2 feet.

OUTLOOK – A small craft advisory has been posted effective between 6 p.m. this evening through 6 p.m. Tuesday evening; advisories still possible Tuesday night through Wednesday night mainly for higher seas; no advisories expected for Thursday; possible advisories on Friday.
