Skies are mostly clear early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures have fallen to coldest so far this season with early readings ranging from 32 degrees in Clifton down to a chilly 19 at Walpack. Winds are mainly calm or light northerly.

NOTEOn this day in 2018 we received over 6 inches of snow most of it during the evening commute which caused massive traffic delays.

Today we will have increasing cloudiness as a low pressure system approaches from the southwest. Rain from this system will begin around 6 p.m., inland across parts of the higher elevations the precipitation may start as a mixture of snow and sleet and may cause some accumulations before changing to rain late tonight.

The rain should end by noon on Wednesday followed by clearing in the afternoon.

Mainly dry and unseasonably cool weather Thursday through the weekend with most highs mostly in the 40s and overnight lows in the 20s.

TODAY – NOV 15 – Increasing cloudiness, high in the upper 40s.

TONIGHT: Rain mainly after 6 p.m., becoming breezy, low near 40.

WEDNESDAY – NOV 16 – Rain ending around 10 a.m. then clearing in the afternoon, breezy, high near 50. Total storm rainfall amounts will be around one inch.

THURSDAY – NOV 17 – Mostly sunny and breezy, high in the upper 40s.

FRIDAY – NOV 18 – Sunny, high in the mid 40s.

SATURDAY – NOV 19 – Mostly sunny, high in the low 40s.

SUNDAY – NOV 20 – Sunny, high in the low 40s.

MONDAY – NOV 21 – Sunny, high in the low 40s.

OUTLOOK: A small craft advisory has been posted effective between 6 p.m. this evening until 6 p.m. Wednesday evening; advisories expected to continue Wednesday night through Thursday night; no advisories expected Friday and Saturday.
