Rain ending early this morning followed by clearing by late this morning and it will become breezy with seasonably cool temperatures! Mainly dry and unseasonably cool Thursday through the weekend!

Skies are cloudy early on this Wednesday morning and there is some lingering light rain falling in parts of the area. Early temperatures range from 38 in Clifton down to 30 at Vernon. Winds are from the northeast.

The low pressure that gave us the overnight rain will move to our east and rain should end around 7 a.m. followed by clearing by late this morning. Brisk westerly winds will develop and temperatures will be seasonably cool with highs mainly in the low 50s.

Mainly dry and unseasonably cool weather will persist tomorrow through the weekend as Canadian high pressure will be in control. There is a small chance of some flurries during the period mainly inland with brisk westerly winds. Lake affect snow squalls will cause feet of snow in the Buffalo area. High temperatures here will average in the 40s and low will average in the 20s.

At this point Thanksgiving Day looks to be dry with milder temperatures.

TODAY – NOV 16 – Rain ending by 7 a.m. then clearing later this morning, breezy, high in the low 50s.

TONIGHT – Mostly clear, low near 30.

THURSDAY – NOV 17 – Mostly sunny and breezy, high in the upper 40s.

FRIDAY – NOV 18 – Mostly sunny and breezy, high in the mid 40s.

SATURDAY – NOV 19 – Mostly sunny, high in the low 40s.

SUNDAY – NOV 20 – Sunny and windy and in the low 40s.

MONDAY – NOV 21 – Sunny, high in the low 40s.

TUESDAY – NOV 22 – Sunny, high near 50.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory will be in effect for west-northwest winds gusting to 25 knots, seas 3-4 feet.

OUTLOOK – Advisories expected to continue through Thursday night; mainly no advisories expected Friday and Saturday; small craft advisories expected for Sunday with some gale force gusts possible.
