Skies are mostly clear early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures are cooler than this time yesterday with readings ranging from 32 in Clifton down to 26 at Walpack. Winds are light and variable.

High pressure over the area will give us a mostly sunny day with seasonably cool temperatures and much lighter winds than yesterday. We should see an increase in clouds tonight.

A frontal system will cause rain mainly from 11 a.m. tomorrow through 7 p.m. Strong southerly winds gusting 40-45 mph will cause temperatures to rise to near 60. The cold front associated with this system is expected to cross the area at night with strong westerly winds behind the front. Rainfall amounts of 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch.

Dry but cooler Thursday and Friday, Thursday will be breezy with less wind on Friday.

Saturday will be mild but a weak cold front may cause some showers in the afternoon and evening followed by cooler but dry weather for Sunday.

SATURDAY – DEC 3 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, high in the upper 50s.

SUNDAY – DEC 4 – Sunny and cooler, high in the upper 40s.

MONDAY – DEC 5 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers, high in the low 50s.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – North to northwest winds to 10 knots, seas 1 foot.

OUTLOOK: A gale warning has been posted effective between 10 a.m. Wednesday morning through 6 a.m. Thursday morning; small craft advisories likely to continue through the day on Thursday; no advisories expected on Friday; possible advisories again on Saturday.
