Mild and breezy with showers today ending by later this afternoon! Sunny and cooler on Sunday! Mostly sunny and a little milder on Monday! Mild with showers Tuesday and Wednesday!

Skies have become cloudy across the area early on this Saturday morning and there are some showers approaching the area from the west. Temperatures are mild with early readings ranging from 43 in Clifton down to 37 at Basking Ridge and Ramsey. Winds are mainly calm.

A frontal system will be moving into our area today, ahead of this system a strong southerly flow of quite mild air will cause temperatures to rise well up into the 50s. Rain should begin around daybreak and continue moderate at times till later this afternoon. The cold front associated with this system will move offshore tonight followed by clearing.

Sunday will be a cooler day but dry with mainly light winds as high pressure builds into our area.

The high pressure will continue to dominate our weather on Monday with mostly sunny skies and seasonable temperatures.

Another frontal system will give us showers Tuesday and Wednesday along with mild temperatures.

Thursday should be partly sunny and mild but another weaker frontal system may give us some showers at night followed by a dry and cooler weather for Friday.

THE FORECAST:

TODAY – DEC 3 – Cloudy, breezy and mild with showers, highs in the upper 50s, wind gusts to 30 mph. Rainfall amounts between 1/4 to 1/2 inch.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy in the evening then becoming clear later at night, low in the low 30s.

SUNDAY – DEC 4 – Sunny, high in the mid 40s.

MONDAY – DEC 5 – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 40s.

TUESDAY – DEC 6 – Cloudy with showers, high in the mid 50s.

WEDNESDAY – DEC 7 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, high in the upper 50s.

THURSDAY – DEC 8 – Partly sunny, high in the low 50s, chance of showers at night.

FRIDAY – DEC 9 – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 40s.

MARINE FORECAST: A gale warning is in effect till 6 p.m. this evening for southerly winds gusting to 35 knots, seas 5-8 feet.

OUTLOOK – Small craft advisories possible early Sunday then no advisories expected Sunday afternoon through Wednesday.
