Sunny and cooler today! Sunny and cool again on Saturday! Rain likely on Sunday mixed with snow especially inland! Dry and seasonably cool Monday through Wednesday! Chance of rain or snow on Thursday!

Good morning everyone!

Skies are mostly clear early on this Friday morning and temperatures are cooler than the last few mornings but still slightly above normal with early readings ranging from 34 in Clifton down to 23 at Walpack. Winds are light from the north.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR DECEMBER 9TH:

AVERAGE HIGH: 46 AVERAGE LOW: 28

RECORD HIGH: 63 – 1991 RECORD LOW: 10 – 1989

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 53 LOW: 39 PRECIPITATION: NONE

High pressure building from north of the Great Lakes to our area will give us a cool northerly flow. Highs today will only be in the 40s despite plenty of sunshine.

Another sunny and cool day on Saturday as high pressure builds closer to our area.

A weak low pressure system is expected to give us mainly rain from late Sunday morning through Sunday evening, however some of the rain will be mixed with snow. Further inland across northwest New Jersey and the lower Hudson Valley may pick up an inch or two of snowfall.

High pressure will then give us dry but seasonably cool conditions Monday through the day on Wednesday.

A stronger low pressure system will give us a chance of rain or snow Wednesday night into Thursday.
