Becoming partly sunny but still breezy and cool today! Above normal temperatures much of next week with a low chance of light rain Tuesday afternoon then rain likely Thursday afternoon into early Friday morning!

Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Sunday morning and early temperatures range from 28 in Clifton down to 20 at High Point. Winds are gusty out of the north.

We are between a strong low pressure well off the coast and high pressure building from the west. We will have another breezy day but we should see more sunshine than yesterday with high temperatures a couple of degrees higher than yesterday with readings in the low 40s.

High pressure will build closer to our area on Monday and we should have mostly sunny skies with milder temperatures and less wind by the afternoon.

A very weak frontal system will give us a low chance of light rain mainly Tuesday afternoon.

Wednesday high pressure will return and it should be the mildest day of next week with highs in the low 50s. along with mostly sunny skies.

A stronger low pressure system will likely give us rain from Thursday afternoon into Friday morning.

High pressure will then give us dry weather with continued above normal temperatures as we head into next weekend.

MARINE FORECAST: A gale warning is in effect until 6 p.m. this evening for northerly winds gusting to 35 knots, seas 6-9 feet.

OUTLOOK: Small craft advisories likely during the day on Monday; advisories still possible Monday night; no advisories expected for Tuesday and Wednesday.
