Another storm to give us mainly rain late Wednesday morning through Wednesday night likely beginning as snow. Dry with slightly above normal temperatures Thursday through the weekend!

Skies are cloudy early on this Monday morning and there is some light rain falling over parts of the area. Early temperatures range from 36 in Clifton down to 31 at High Point. Winds are from the north averaging between 10-15 mph.

A low pressure area will be moving through our area and off the New England coast by tonight. Periods or rain is expected throughout the day which may change to snow before ending. No accumulation is expected here but a dusting may occur further inland. Winds will become gusty out of the northwest to 35 mph by late this afternoon.

Tuesday will be a quiet and seasonably mild day with mostly sunny skies.

Another potent storm will affect us from late Wednesday morning through Wednesday night. Precipitation should begin late in the morning as some snow especially inland before changing to rain in the afternoon. We may have a dusting mainly on colder surfaces here but may accumulate a couple of inches further inland before the changeover. Rainfall amounts will average between 1-2 inches.

Thursday will be cloudy and breezy.

Dry weather will continue Friday through the weekend with slightly above normal temperatures.

TUESDAY – JAN 24 – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 40s.

WEDNESDAY – JAN 25 – Cloudy with snow developing in the late morning changing to rain in the afternoon, high in the low 40s. Possible accumulations of a dusting to 1 inch before the changover.

THURSDAY – JAN 26 – Cloudy and breezy, high in the upper 40s.

FRIDAY – JAN 27 – Mostly sunny, high near 40.

SATURDAY – JAN 28 – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 40s.

SUNDAY – JAN 29 – Mostly cloudy, high in the mid 40s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. Tuesday evening for westerly winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 5-8 feet.

OUTLOOK: No advisories expected for Tuesday night; advisories likely Wednesday and Thursday; advisories still possible for Friday.
