Sunny and seasonably cool today with diminishing winds! Mostly cloudy but milder on Sunday! Above normal temperatures to continue much of next week with a chance of showers on Tuesday with rain likely Wednesday night into Thursday!

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Saturday morning and temperatures are much colder than the last several mornings with early readings ranging from 27 in Clifton down to 17 at High Point. Winds are gusty out of the northwest 20-25 mph. The 27 degree reading here in Clifton is actually a couple of degrees above normal.

High pressure building from the southern Mississippi valley will give us a sunny day today with diminishing winds by this afternoon. After a chilly start, high temperatures will reach into the mid 40s which is slightly above normal.

More clouds but milder on Sunday as the high pressure builds over the area.

Above normal temperatures to continue next week, a weak disturbance may give us a shower on Tuesday, but a better chance of rain Wednesday night into Thursday.

THURSDAY – FEB 23 – Mostly cloudy with rain likely, high in the low 50s.

FRIDAY – FEB 24 – Sunny and breezy, high in the upper 40s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 1 p.m. this afternoon for northwest winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 4-7 feet.
