Mostly sunny and seasonably mild today with less wind! Increasing cloudiness on Friday with rain and snow developing by late in the afternoon and continuing into Saturday morning! Dry and cool weather for Sunday! Another stronger storm will likely give us more rain and snow from early Monday morning through Tuesday morning!

Skies have become mostly cloudy early on this Thursday morning and early temperatures range from 32 in Clifton down to 24 at High Point. Winds are from the northwest averaging 5-10 mph.

Clifton’s Almanac for March 9th:

Today will be a nice early March day with plenty of sunshine after early cloudiness. The low pressure well offshore will move further east and the winds will be lighter in our area than the last couple of days. Highs will be near 50 degrees.

Increasing cloudiness on Friday with rain developing late in the afternoon and probably changing to snow after midnight continuing into Saturday morning. At this time accumulations in the Clifton area will be around an inch mainly on colder surfaces. More accumulation is expected further inland.

Sunday will be a dry day with seasonably cool temperatures.

Another stronger low pressure system will likely give us more rain and snow from early Monday through Tuesday morning. At the present time the precipitation will be mainly in the form of rain with snow further inland.

Dry, windy and chilly weather is expected on Wednesday.

FRIDAY – MAR 10 – Increasing cloudiness with rain likely mainly after 4 p.m. high in the mid 40s. Rain changing to snow after midnight at night, accumulations around one inch.

SATURDAY – MAR 11 – Chance of rain or snow mainly in the morning then partial clearing and breezy, high in the low 40s.

SUNDAY – MAR 12 – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 40s.

MONDAY – MAR 13 – Cloudy with rain and snow likely, high in the mid 40s.

TUESDAY – MAR 14 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain and snow in the morning, breezy, high in the mid 40s.

WEDNESDAY – MAR 15 – Mostly sunny, breezy and cool, high in the low 40s.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – Northerly winds to 10 knots, seas 1-2 feet.
