Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Friday morning and early temperatures range from 31 in Clifton down to 22 at Walpack. Winds are light from the north.

A low pressure system will move into our area today causing an increase in clouds today with rain developing by late in the afternoon then changing to snow overnight then mixing with rain before ending Saturday afternoon. Possible accumulation will be around 2-4 inches with more further inland.

Most of Sunday will be dry but another low pressure system approaching our area will cause clouds to increase, temperatures will be seasonably cool with highs in the 40s.

Complex low pressure will cause rain and snow Monday into Tuesday. At this time our area will be mostly rain but further inland significant snowfall is likely. This system needs to be watched as some models have significant snow even for our area.

Wednesday will be dry but breezy and cool.

Thursday will continue to be dry but a little milder with less wind.

TODAY – MAR 10 – Becoming cloudy with rain developing around 5 p.m., high in the mid 40s.

TONIGHT – Rain changing to snow mainly after midnight, low in the low 30s.

SATURDAY – MAR 11 – Snow, mixing with rain before ending in the afternoon, high in the mid 40s. Possible accumulations of 2-4 inches.

SUNDAY – MAR 12 – Increasing cloudiness, high in the upper 40s

MONDAY – MAR 13 – Rain likely, high in the mid 40s, rain and snow at night.

TUESDAY – MAR 14 – Rain and snow ending by the afternoon, high in the low 40s.

WEDNESDAY – MAR 15 – Mostly sunny and breezy, high in the mid 40s.

THURSDAY – MAR 16 – Mostly sunny, high near 50.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – South-southeast winds to 10 knots, seas 2-3 feet.

OUTLOOK: A gale warning has been issued effective between 6 a.m. through 6 p.m. on Saturday; advisories expected to continue Saturday night through Sunday night; gales possible Monday through Wednesday.
