Skies are clear early on this Friday morning and again it is quite cool with early temperatures ranging from 31 in Clifton down to 18 at Walpack. Winds are mainly calm.

High pressure moving off the coast will give us a southerly flow of milder air today, but we will see an increase in clouds with a low chance of showers from late this afternoon into this evening, showers becoming more likely after midnight. Tonight’s lows will be considerably milder than the last few nights with readings only dropping into the 50s.

Quite mild on Saturday with showers mainly in the morning, we should see a break in the showers in the afternoon but a cold front moving through will cause showers in the evening with possible thunderstorms.

Sunny but cooler and breezy on Sunday.

Mild much of next week with a chance of showers Wednesday into Thursday as a weak front will be in our area.

SATURDAY – APR 1 – Mostly cloudy and quite mild with showers mainly before 2 p.m. breezy, highs near 70. Showers and thunderstorms possible in the evening.

SUNDAY – APR 2 – Sunny, breezy and cooler, highs in the low 50s.

MONDAY – APR 3 – Mostly sunny and milder, highs in the mid 60s.

TUESDAY – APR 4 – Partly sunny, highs in the upper 60s.

WEDNESDAY – APR 5 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, highs near 70.

THURSDAY – APR 6 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, highs near 70.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory will be in effect from noon today through 6 a.m. Saturday morning for southerly winds gusting to 35 knots, seas 5-8 feet.

OUTLOOK: A gale watch has been posted effective between Saturday morning through Sunday morning; small craft advisories likely Sunday afternoon through Monday night; no advisories expected for Tuesday.
