Mostly sunny and seasonably warm today with widespread haze and only a low chance of an afternoon shower! Dry and continued seasonably warm on Father’s Day! Mainly dry much of next week with near seasonable temperatures!

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Saturday morning and temperatures range from 59 in Clifton down to 52 at Pequest. Winds are calm or light northwesterly. The air quality index is 54 which is moderate.

The low pressure that gave us the showers and thunderstorms yesterday afternoon is slowly moving off the New England coast as high pressure builds from the Great Lakes. Skies will be mostly sunny with only a low chance of an afternoon shower. There will be widespread haze developing by this afternoon from the Canadian wildfires.

The high pressure will build closer to us on Sunday giving us a mostly sunny day with seasonably warm temperatures.

Much of next week will be dry, temperatures will be near normal on Monday, slightly below normal with an onshore wind Tuesday and Wednesday and then slightly above normal for Thursday and Friday.

TODAY – JUNE 17 – Partly sunny and becoming hazy this afternoon with a low chance of a shower, high near 80.

TONIGHT – Partly cloudy with widespread haze, becoming mostly clear after midnight, low near 60.

SUNDAY – JUNE 18 – Sunny in the morning then becoming partly sunny in the afternoon, high in the low 80s.

JUNETEENTH – JUNE 19 – Mostly sunny, highs in the low 80s.

TUESDAY – JUNE 20 – Partly sunny, highs in the upper 70s.

WEDNESDAY – JUNE 21 – Partly sunny, highs in the upper 70s.

THURSDAY – JUNE 22 – Mostly sunny, highs in the low 80s.

FRIDAY – JUNE 23 – Partly sunny in the morning, increasing cloudiness in the afternoon, highs in the low 80s.
