The low pressure that gave us the showers and thunderstorms yesterday afternoon is slowly moving off the New England coast as high pressure builds from the Great Lakes. Skies will be mostly sunny with only a low chance of an afternoon shower. There will be widespread haze developing by this afternoon from the Canadian wildfires.

The high pressure will build closer to us on Sunday giving us a mostly sunny day with seasonably warm temperatures.

Much of next week will be dry, temperatures will be near normal on Monday, slightly below normal with an onshore wind Tuesday and Wednesday and then slightly above normal for Thursday and Friday.

Rainfall amounts should be between 1/2 and 3/4 inches with some higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
