Cloudy again today with only a low chance of light rain this morning! Sun finally appears for Wednesday and Thursday with seasonable cool temperatures! Chance of showers again on Friday! Dry and milder weather for the weekend!

Skies are cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and there are some light showers in parts of the area. Temperatures range from 57 in Clifton down to 50 at High Point. Winds are mainly from the northeast! The air quality is moderate with an index of 55.

The remnants of Ex-Tropical Storm Ophelia is slowly moving to our south and weakening but will still cause cloudy skies again with a low chance of a morning shower.

The sun will finally appear on Wednesday with dry weather continuing on Thursday, temperatures will be a bit below normal.

A trough of low pressure will give us another chance of showers on Friday with some heavy rain possible.

At this point the weekend looks dry with a warming trend that will extend into early next week. Monday’s highs may approach 80 degrees.

SUNDAY – OCT 2 – Sunny, highs in the upper 70s.

MARINE FORECAST: A gale warning is in effect until 6 p.m. this evening for northeast winds gusting to 35 knots, seas 8-10 feet.

OUTLOOK – Small craft advisories expected to continue Wednesday through Saturday.
